You can do your grocery shopping in the supermarket just around the corner, another supermarket at "Praterstern", which is only one underground stop away, is open around the clock.
The underground station "Vorgartenstrasse " of line U1 is in front of the house.
The famous 'Wiener Prater' and the city center, Stephansplatz can be reached within 5 minutes.
The UNO City, the Vienna International Centre and the Donau Tower are also within easy reach.
Enjoy a cocktail at one of the many fashionable beachbars at the Donau canal, or take a boat trip to the Wachau.
In close proximity to the apartment you find the "Donauinsel", a leisure and recreation area surrounded by the Danube and the New Danube, where you can go for long walks, enjoy nice picnics or indulge in sunbathing. If you are the sporty type you can choose from a seemingly unlimited list of sports: cycling, water skiing, sufing, rowing, various ball sports, sailng, swimming and many more. Close to the underground stop "Donauinsel" (U1) a multitude of international restaurants offer a wide range of culinary delights, from Mexican food and fish dishes to Italian specialties.
In the warm season night owls will definitely have a good time in the bars and clubs of the "Sunken City".
The Twin City Liner is only a few minutes away. By ferry it takes you to Bratislava in 20 minutes. Vienna has endless possibilities. Discover the city with its endless possibllites.
Like in all central districts, the 2nd disrict is subject to a parking management scheme restricting parking from Monday to Friday, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
For this reason, parking in the vicinity is not free of charge and limited to 2 hours at the most.
If you do not need your car every day, you can park it for longer periods and for free at the other side of the Danube (22nd district) which is approximately 10-15 walking minutes away.

We were met by Katarina who was very pleasant but not much help. Her English was limited but she managed to convey what we needed to know with our limited German. But it would have been helpful to get some local tips, like the fact that all stores are closed on Sunday. We also had no way of contacting her, so when we ran out of TP and found the stores closed, we had a big problem! There were very few staples in the kitchen, just dishes. The apartment is nicely located and looked as it does in the photos.
Pros: - just in front of the Metro (you can easily reach every zone of the city in a few minutes)
- spacious and bright apartment
Cons: - the website description page says that there's a wifi connection: it's not true, there's just a cable connection
- the toilet is very small and the washbow in in another room (that's quite unconfortable)
I had a very nice time in Walter's apartment: it's roomy and confortable and there's everything you need to feel at home.
It has a good location: in that district you can find lots of shops and the underground U1 is just at the corner of the buildings. The owners are very kind ad ready to give any information you need. Really a nice experience! Alessandro
Nice appartment in an old building. It was clean. Lots of space. You can sleep in three separate rooms. Beds are firm but good. Furniture was good. Enough towels. We enjoyed our stay.
Metro just out of the door. Supermarket and bakery nearby.
The appartment lacks airco. When its warm, you have to open the windows. Outside is a lot of trafficnoise. When the window is closed, most of the noise is shut out.

Große, schöne Wohnung! Alles sauber und da, was man braucht. Das Treppen Haus ist alt, aber cool. Die Lage ist super. Direkt neben einer u-Bahn Station (U1 Vorgartenstraße (Pokestop)), und auch nur ein paar Minuten Fußweg vom Praterstern (eine U1 Haltestelle). 2 Türen links neben der Wohung hat es einen Supermarkt, 2 Türen rechts davon einen Growshop zum anschauen.
Bin sehr zufrieden mit meinen Aufenthalt dort. Wien ist eine sehr schöne Stadt!
Der schriftliche Kontakt vorab mit dem Vermieter war sehr gut und freundlich.
Uns wurden Hinweise für Ausflüge und Lokale gegeben, die uns sehr geholfen haben, auch für das Auffinden der Ferienwohnung.
Die im Haus wohnende Kontaktperson hat uns geöffnet und uns die Wohnungsschlüssel ausgehändigt. Das altertümlich Treppenhaus hat uns ein wenig erschreckt. Die Wohnung war o.k. Die Küche und deren Ausstattung war ausreichend, ein paar Gläser mehr wäre schön gewesen (Weinglas etc.)
Wir hatten eine angenehme Zeit.
Es ist ein sehr schönes, modern eingerichtetes Appartement. Es ist alles vorhanden was man so benötigt. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.
Appartamento confortevole e ben posizionato, fermata del metrò vicinissima, a tre fermate da Stephansplatz centro della città e a una fermata dal Prater.
Grande abbastanza per 5 persone.
Su richiesta ci è stato gentilmente fornito un asciugacapelli.
Si può migliorare la biancheria per il divano letto e gli asciugamani.
Consigliato per un buon soggiorno a Vienna.
Ottima sistemazione, ideale per famiglie.
Appartamento spazioso e luminoso.
Ottimo collegamento con mezzi pubblici.
Nette, saubere und verkehrsgünstig gelegene Wohnung.
Nachteil ist, dass die Wohnung an einer sehr stark befahrenen Straße liegt, so dass ein Schlafen im Sommer mit offenem Fenster aufgrund des hohen Lärmpegels nicht möglich ist.
