Located at Pilrig Heights, a quiet cul-de-sac minutes from Leith Walk, the apartment has lots of space, a large living room and free parking for 1 car.
The apartment is an ideal base for exploring Edinburgh and the surrounding area. All major city centre attractions are within easy reach with Princes Street, the Royal Mile, the Playhouse Theatre and key Festival venues such as the Pleasance only 10 minutes by bus or approximately 20 minutes on foot. The Michelin-starred restaurants and Royal Yacht Britannia in Leith are 20 minutes on foot or 10 minutes by bus.
There is free parking available with a residents guest permit (1 available per booking). Alternatively, a bus stop is only 1 minute walk away from the apartment, with direct buses to Princes Street and further away.
After a long day exploring Edinburgh, relax in the large living room with its comfortable seating area, flat-screen TV, Internet computer, board games and free wifi. Then rustle up a meal in the large, well-equipped modern stainless steel kitchen fully-fitted with an oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, large fridge-freezer and various kitchen gadgets.
We are sure you will have a good night's sleep in the double bedroom with a small balcony, twin bedroom or on the comfortable luxurious double sofa bed in the living room, providing sleeping accommodation for up to 6 people. Duvets, pillows, linen and towels are included in the rental and changed on a weekly basis. A travel cot and high chair are supplied for the little guests.
The apartment has 2 bathrooms. The double bedroom has an en-suite shower room with shower, washbasin and toilet and the main family bathroom has a bath, shower, wash basin and toilet.
We are a non-smoking accommodation.
There is central heating and double glazing throughout the apartment, ensuring a cosy stay in the heart of Scotland’s capital.
Shopping & Dining:
A supermarket (open until 10pm) is just a 5 minute walk away on leith Walk and Leith Walk also has a great selection of convenient small shops ranging from wine merchants, bakery and patisserie, fruit and veg shops, pet shop and gift shops.
For those who do not feel like cooking there are take-away shops and good quality restaurants nearby.
Families are welcome at this apartment. A travel cot can be supplied by prior arrangement. Nearby Pilrig Park, St. Marks Park and slightly further away Daleny Street Park offer green spaces and the parks have a children's playground.
Your pets are more than welcome to stay with you at the apartment, at no extra cost. There are several places nearby to walk your dog. Pilrig park is only 1 minute up the road and the Queen's Park with Arthur's Seat only 10 minutes away. Furthermore, the beach can be reached in just 10 minutes by car or 25 minutes by bus!
Parking and transport:
There is free parking available with a residents guest permit (1 available per booking). Paid on-street parking is available in the area around this apartment and it is well-served by frequent bus services. The bus stop is only 1 minute walk away from the apartment, with direct buses to Princes Street and further away. A taxi from the city centre costs between £5-10. The apartment is around 20 mins walk to both Waverley train station and the bus station, both of which are also reachable by direct bus services. The nr. 100 Airport bus departs at regular intervals from Waverley bridge.

As the apartment is in a residential building, we expect guests to be quiet and respectful to our neighbours at all times. They are not on holiday and do not wish to be disturbed by our guests making noise/ringing their doorbell etc.

We had a great stay in Annette´s flat. It is conveniently located. If you want to use public transport, there is a bus stop (35 bus) in front of the house, which can leave you at the Royal Mile center or even the airport. The High Street in the Royal Mile is about 20-25 minutes walking distance at a slow pace.
The flat is warm and cosy, very clean and tidy and comfortably furnished. You have everything you need in the kitchen, is fully equiped. There are two bedrooms and a sofa bed at the living room, so it is perfect for 6 people. We were provided with linen, towels and pillows.
Annette was very kind, she explained us everything we had to know about the appartment and where we can find a supermarket, etc. She was willing to resolve any doubt at any moment during our stay in Edinburgh, she deserves a 10.
Maybe to say something to be added at the appartment, it would be a hairdryer.
I would advice anyone to stay at Anntte's place, excellent quality-ratio price.
The landlord was helpful and accomodating allowing us early access upon arrival at 1pm and let us stay a little longer on the day of our departure because our flight was late in the afternoon. That deserves 3 stars.
The 1 star is for the appartment, it was run down with old and stained sofa cussions, dripping taps, old creaking bed and overall messy appearance. The bathroom was appalling with a bath tub that had a broom stick siliconed to the gap between tub and wall to try and prevent water from dripping down to the wooden floor. Who has wooden floor in the bathroom??
So, poor standard in the whole unit.
There's no way you can walk to Princes St/Royal Mile in 5 min so the add is misleading.
Overall, I wouldn't rent it again and it's a shame because with some TLC this appartment could become really nice.

We had a wonderfull holiday in Edinburgh.
The appartment met our needs (mother and two teenagers). Although I found that it does not exactly sleep 4 persons, as the sofa bed in the livingroom was rather uncomfortable for my 46 year old back (slept on the cushions on the floor instead)
Location is superb for exploring Edinburgh on foot.
Annette was very helpful on arrival regarding transport from airport to appartment, and practical information about the area.
Really nice flat, kitchen was a little bit tatty but still okay.
We like it and we recommend it.

We enjoyed very much in Annette's apartment. Since the host was close to the apartment check-in was going well although I forgot to inform my arrival time in advance. The host was very kind and helpful. she gave us some useful information. There's not so much things to ask cause it's very well organized though. Kitchen was wonderful we enjoyed our cooking and it feels like I'm just staying at my friend's place. Comfortable and cozy. Then location is not really central but still easy to reach to the city center. We walked everyday to the city center. I'd like to recommend this apartment to everyone.

The accommodation was wonderful, we had a great time and Annette, the landlord, was very helpful to make us feel at home. The accommodation is on walking distance to the center of Edinburgh, quiet, and conveniently located with shops in close vicinity. Also the Wifi was convenient. Though possible, we found it more difficult than expected to find a spot in close vicinity to park our car; Nevertheless, we really liked the place and would certainly go back to the same place on a next occasion.
We had a fabulous time in Edinburgh. The apartment was clean and fully furnished with a personal touch. The spacious kitchen is particularly remarkable. Annette has been a polite and pleasant host. We highly recommend this apartment to other guests.
