The USAsuite residences do not comply with the same fire safety and building code requirements as a hotel. Contact membership services for any customer service or maintenance issues - there is not a front desk or membership staff at any of the residences

This was our first time using Wimdu and it was a good experience. The apartment was as described and was in an excellent location for our first visit to NYC. There are lots of great wine bars and restaurants close by, as well as a convenient location for seeing the sights. Our only comments would be that it is noisy at night as 53rd is a busy street and the bedrooms are on street side. Also it is quite dark, so maybe some stronger or extra lighting would be good. We also felt a slight inconvenience having to collect the key from Grand Central.
un avis extrêmement négatif... 1- lorsque nous avons récupère les clefs dans un autre endroit ( pas très pratique), nous a communiqué une mauvaise adresse! 2- on a trouvé l'appartement dans un état lamentable ( vaisselle pas faite, salle de bain épouvantable). Une femme de ménage est enfin arrivée en fin d'après midi. Nous avons en fait récupéré l'appartement vers 20h. Iimpossible de dormir la nuit tellement il y avait de bruits dans la rue ( aucune isolation) 4- le must: 2 énormes poubelles étaient postées près de notre porte: quel accueil! Nous avons l'habitude de voyager mais jamais nous n'avons connu une telle "déconvenue".
L'hôte étant une agence de location, il est difficile de donner un avis. Les clés étaient bien au bureau de poste indiqué. Aucun contact, par contre pour l'établissement d'un état des lieu. Le dépôt de garantie devant se faire au même endroit.
The rented apartment, advertized on the platform wimdu.de as „Luxus-LOFT 3 Schlafzimmer, 2 Bäder – Ausstattung“ ("Luxury LOFT 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths – Equiped”) had several serious defects and deviations from the published specifications. The use of the apartment as described in the ad was not possible, leading to additional unplanned costs and expenses. As per the terms and conditions, all problems were promptly reported and well documented by photographs.
The shortcomings in detail:
• Severe uncleanliness (including bed sheets, towels, bathroom, kitchen, refrigerator, floors) and other serious hygiene issues throughout the entire apartment
• No Wi-Fi or Internet access, a direct deviation from the terms of reference in your ad
• Toilet was broken/defective – the tank ran constantly
• Air conditioning unit did not work (it was masked)
• Soiled linens and bedding
• One of the bedrooms had no bedding whatsoever (due to the low temperatures it was not possible to stay overnight)
• Soiled towels
• Dirty, foul-smelling refrigerator – completely non-usable
• Non-usable cabinets (misconstruction)
• Dirty floors throughout the apartment and in particular the bathrooms
• Dirty windows
• The trash was never emptied
• There were defective doorknobs which would fall out of the door
• There was no laundry detergent
• The clocks were defective
• TVs did not work – all four of them
No promised on-site support was received from you as the responsible US agency. No support was received at any time, no action was taken to address any of the shortcomings. A selection of the submitted photographs can be found in the appendix to my e-mail.
Windu is the most expensive website to rent an apartment on the face of the earth. Based on an email sent by CityKit (Management Company of the property) the actual cost of the apartment was $2001.00 for 7 days but we paid to Windu 2,421.21. This means 420 (20%) commission. Making this type of commission could be typical in the industry but letting the client to find out about it is very unprofessional. Hiding key information like the location of the apartment is no very professional either (third floor without elevator) Later we realized the apartment was in poor shape and not properly maintained, CityKit totally ignored our request for simple things missing like extra cover and linen for the sofa bed or to send a technician to fix a huge leak on the bathroom sink. Definitely I won't recommend Wimdu to a friend.

Great location, but it is not really a 1BR apartment, It's a very small place, well locatedand clean. But when you add in all the costs (e.g. Wimdu booking fee) and hassle (driving back and forth to guest services for the key, TV not working) you wonder if it would have been more convenient to stay in a hotel.
Had a great stay in this apt. Everything went smooth, picking up the keys and finding the apt. It was clean and has everything you possibly need. Don't forget to take earplugs :) It's on the second floor, so you're right in the middle of all the sounds from the city. Been here with 4 adults and it's big enough. Location was great, subway just 3 blocks down, grocerystore around the corner... Would stay here again
I would like to have 2 sets of towels for 1 week !
