Right in the heart of the West End of London, NEAR MARBLE ARCH Station and minutes from SELFRIDGES and short walk to both Hyde Park and Regents Park.
Kensington is only a short journey away and is the home to several major museums such as Natural History museum and Science museum. The famous department stores Harrods, Peter Jones and Harvey Nichols are also located in Kensington.
Hyde Park is a short walk away, where you will find Kensington Gardens. If you walk through the park you will reach Oxford Street, the most famous shopping street in London with shops such as Selfridges and Debenhams. Most attractions of London are within easy reach, such as Big Ben, Buckingham Palace and Piccadilly Circus.
Notting Hill is one of the most attractive areas of London, with many beautiful buildings. Notting Hill is full of trendy café and bars, small shops and galleries. This is also where the famous Portobello Market is located. Notting Hill is also famous for the annual colourful carnival that takes place every August, and for the film ‘Notting Hill’ starring Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant!
There are plenty of tube stations in the area that will take you wherever you want to go in London. If you want to enjoy the extensive night life London has to offer, there are also plenty of buses and night buses running 24/7 from all directions in London.
The hotel, located close to Marble Arch station and to Baker Street station, was perfect. The tube was easy to reach. Although I could choose, I preferred taking the Bakerloo line from Baker Street station. I loved walking famous Baker Street.
I had a nice little studio with the possibility for cooking. The shared bathroom didn’t matter to me. For I was starting early in the morning walking Baker Street I had breakfast on my way, so I didn’t really need to use the little kitchen, but I was very grateful for the refrigerator! So I had cold water every time when I returned to the hotel. I loved it. Additionally it was a quiet room – okay, sometimes I could hear my neighbours talking and sometimes I could hear a door slamming, but all in one it was quiet and I was able to sleep very well. Just perfect.
The shared bathroom was in a very good condition, the shower was even big enough for me (I’m not slim) and I had not really to wait.
There was a really nice staff, very helpful and polite. Thank you very much.
At last I must confess, it’s not a 5 star hotel, but I was happy of getting that nice little studio in the center of London (Zone1) for the price of a tiny hotel room in Zone 2 or 3. I really enjoyed my stay there. I’d love to return.
Cause of all this, the price for value and considering the location I give 5 stars.
I enjoyed my stay very much. Many thanks and sorry for the belated rating.
Nice central room near Oxford Street.
Clean and tidy room, with good equipment for everything that one needs for a few days of travel.
Good price and quite near the underground stations Marble Arch, Baker Street and Marylebone.
The Shower and Toilet were shared, but that´s ok for the price.
Definitely will go there again!
Very close to the city. Very quiet. The room was clean and comfortable and also very private. It's a shared bathroom and toilet but I didn't encounter any other house guests so it might as well have been a private bathroom and toilet.
Very basic, small, frendly host, perfect spot in the centre. I would not recommend this place to friends because it's only one room, shared bathroom
++ : very close to London center. Historical 60's area (baker street). personal very welcome and competent
- - : Room and sharing bathroom a little shabby. Hope the broken stuffs and torn curtain will be fixed next time.
Excellent staff. Quick and easy check -in. Small, clean well equipped room in excellent location. I stayed 5 days and the cleaner came almost daily. For the price it was very good. I was at the top of the building which if you're unfit/have heavy bags/or a disability might be a problem and the room was warm as London was hot during my stay, but although air con might have been nice a fan was provided and I had a very comfortable stay. Not 5 star accommodation but very fair for the price and especially the location.
The rooam was not very clean, as weel as the bathroon. I expected a better place.
it was a pleasure to stay in this apartment. The location is nearly to the Baker Street Underground and also to the Victoria Station with the bus. If you want to buy something for the apartment; Tesco market is in few minutes on foot distant. I didn't see Penny at my visiting but I hope in next time I will see her. One thing I must give feedback: The new bathroom is very clean and nice. But the shower was defected. They came not enough water from the shower. You repair this and the day can started be better. :-)
One more thing: You can Check-Out anytime. If you got an early flight you can leave the key at the apartment.
Conclusion: In next time I will visit this apartment again... ;-)
Good area, good price, good staff..
I really suggest this place!
