Es gab keine Heizung und Klimaanlage.mal wars zu kalt dann zu warm.das Haus war bestimmt 100 Jahre alt und sah auch so aus.die suite war nur 20 qdtmt gros anstatt der beschriebenen 100

The place wasn't like in the pictures at all. We didn't enjoey being there, although we had basic things: water, blankets, heating we didn't like how the place look like. The kitchen was dirty and we found find the washig machine, there was a closet in the kitchen full of garbage. In the room things were clean but was cold and there was a bed under other we can't use. The door in the room was damaged, the sofa bed was too old and wasn't Confortable. The blackout was damaged too and we never met the host. The day we arrived a guy received us and show us the things but during the whole week nobody was there or contact us to check how the things were. The neiborhood wasn't to bad but it was far from everything. The Tv didn't work well.

Hi !!! I stayed there for 3 weeks with my little 1,5 year old son in May 2014...and what should is say? It was PERFECT. The location was great, a huge playground, 24h washcenter, a great deli, all just around the corner ! the house is located in the heart of flatbush...just a little walk of ten minutes to the subway with ELEVATOR. i loved it there because it was so nice an calm and cool...not the manhattan stress :-) buuut it tooks a longer time if u want to go to manhattan..but the subway line brings you straight there...also to fulton street, where you can shop sneeeakers :-)
when i flew back...i shed tears in the cab...i was incredibly sad leaving flatbush.
Steve and Heather were so nice and helpful!! WORDS CANT DESCRIBE! Sorry for giving my feedback this late, really want to say THANK YOU for your SUPPORT ( thx thx thx a million times :-)... Hope i soon have enough money to come back!

Wir waren mit der Unterkunft zufrieden. Es war sauber und mit vielen Geräten ausgestattet, komplette Küche, Bügeleisen.... Am besten fanden wir die große Terrasse, man konnte auch bei Regen draußen essen und die Eichhörnchen beobachten. Mit der U-Bahn 40 Minuten nach Manhattan. Steve war auch sehr nett.

Steve and Heather's place is a great alternative to the very expensive accommodation on Manhattan Island. Steve, who we met on the night we checked in, was a helpful and gracious host, but the fully automated door codes mean that you can come and go as you please and also feel self-sufficient. The place is very clean and well appointed with fridge, shower/toilet and several options providing beds for between 2 and 5 people. The neighbourhood felt reasonably safe to walk through, even at night, and I liked being in an actual neighbourhood, dwelling in an apartment, just as I might do if I actually lived in Brooklyn. There is free wifi, an amenity which becomes more and more important to me these days as I travel, and an outsized television which we barely tapped the potential of in just watching for the weather. The location seems a bit far from the metro when you first walk it, and being the last stop Brooklyn direction from downtown Manhattan, you have to be prepared for a commute each morning if the sights you want to see are on Manhattan island, but given the pluses of price and of staying in an actual neighbourhood, the commute and the walk are negligible factors. The area around the metro station on Flatbush has a McDonalds which we used for morning coffee (don't expect to be served in a hurry though), and an unpretentious Italian pizzeria (Uncle Vic's) which we found served excellent pizza, pasta and portable calzones. The majority of restaurants in the area seem to be West Indian, but if not a fan of jerk chicken and salt cod, there are also some Chinese places. The multitude of fruit stands were also handy for buying oranges and juice that we could have in for the morning. If visiting New York again, especially for a longer stay, like a week, I would definitely try to stay in this Brooklyn apartment.

Een perfecte locatie. Lekker rustig achter met een veranda om te ontbijten en dan naar de metro te lopen. Ongeveer 45 minuten van het centrum. Vriendelijke en aardige eigenaren. Je kan echt je eigen gang gaan. Brooklyn is heerlijk.

Perfect location. Easy going and with a neat backyard where you can eat outside (in the summer ;-). Near subway. Only 40 minutes of the heart of Manhattan. Relaxed surroundings. We liked the contrast with the hustle and bustle of a big city and this place. For us perfect
